Your day begins with a pick-up service from your hotel in Antalya. For the purposes of this tour, you will travel to Pamukkale with a comfortable and modern bus. Visit the famous Salda Lake and Pamukkale (World Heritage Site)

The road trip takes approximately 3 hours, during which you can enjoy the views and relax. A short stop will take place at Korkuteli, where you can enjoy a breakfast at an extra cost. Another stop will take place at Denizli, which is the nearest city to Pamukkale. From there, you can enjoy some panoramic view over Pamukkale and take some nice photos.

At Pamukkale you will spend some time visiting the most notable sites. More specifically, accompanied by the tour guide, you will visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. This ancient settlement, used to be an important spiritual and healing hub due to the existence of thermal springs in the area. Among the ruins, you will see the ancient theatre, Roman baths, temples, and a necropolis. The guide will let you know information about the history and the importance of this ancient site as you walk around the ruins.

Another popular site to visit in Pamukkale is the Cotton Castle. Also famous as Pamukkale Travertines, this is a white-colour limestone mountain that features terraces that are naturally shaped, and that are filled with thermal water. If you wish to swim in a thermal spring, you can visit the Cleopatra’s Pool and enter at an extra cost.

When your visit in Pamukkale is over, the bus will drive you to Salda Lake. The area is famous for having a lake with turquoise waters and a white sandy terrain. It is not a coincidence though that many people call it the Turkish Maldives. During your visit at the lake, you can walk around and enjoy the beauty of the landscape, snap some photos, or even swim. This incredible day tour finishes when you arrive back at your hotel in Antalya during the afternoon.

The distance between Antalya and Pamukkale is approximately 3 hours. However, in an effort to make your road trip pleasurable, few short stops are included. For example, you will stop at Korkuteli where you will have time to enjoy an energizing breakfast if you wish. A stop of Denizli is also included in the schedule so that you can take some panoramic photos.

Can I swim?

At Pamukkale you can swim in the antique thermal pool for an extra cost. The water is famous for having therapeutic benefits, but it will also be a fun experience. In what regards Salda Lake, you can swim during specific months of the year, and at specific parts of the lake. The tour guide can provide some more information on that. In any case, if you wish to swim, it is important that you bring your swimsuit and a towel.
